The XB5358A0 is a SOT-23-5 rohs-compliant battery management PMIC manufactured by XySemi. It is designed to manage the charging and discharging of batteries for motor controllers, wearables, radar systems, and other applications that require extensive battery monitoring capabilities. The controller includes a low voltage start-up circuit, direct VOUT controllable via PWM, short and open cell protection, and LED indicators. It also features an adjustable discharge current limit, temperature protection, and thermal shutdown. The integrated PWM driver and low-power sleep mode provides system power savings. The XB5358A0 also has an internal Soft-Start circuit which can offer user flexibility for applications requiring longer start-up times.
