The XB5608AF with SOT-23-5 is a Battery Management IC manufactured by XySemi. It is RoHS compliant and comes in a slightl?y larger than standard SOT-23-5 package. It contains a peripheral circuit, a main controller, a coulomb counter, an anti-reverse charging circuit, a combined voltage detector, an over voltage protection circuit, and a temperature detector. It is designed for single cell Li-Ion and LiFePO4 battery as well as low-voltage NiMH battery packs. The primary use of this IC is for battery management, capacity detection, protection and charging. It can support a max input voltage up to 7.2V and a max input current of 2A. It also incorporates a clock output to realize several timer functions for battery management.
