Additional Infomation About Product

The 271KD20J Varistor with Through Hole (TH) package is a device manufactured by Yageo that is used for voltage protection in AC and DC circuits. It is made up of two divisions; an upper metal and a lower ceramic parts. The metal part acts as the casing and contains two terminals. The ceramic part is made of metal oxide which has an encased electrode in the center. The metal oxide will act as the variable resistor and will reduce its resistance when exposed to an increased voltage. It has a dielectric strength of 2700VAC and is RoHS compliant. Its maximum voltage (Vmax) is 20V and the maximum surge current (Imax) is 1500A. The 271KD20J device can be used in telecommunications devices, computer systems, and other consumer electronics in the prevention of excessive voltage surge.
