Photovoltaic connectors, also referred to as solar connectors, are specifically designed for use in solar power systems. These connectors are designed to join two strands of electrical cabling, connecting to a solar panel and the inverter.
The connectors need to meet a set of conditions to ensure reliable operation in outdoor environments. These include: corrosion resistance, dust and water ingress protection, temperature rating, UV protection, fire safety, mechanical strength, and spacers to keep cables from chaffing or shorts.
