A switch case, or switch cover, is a protective cover used to protect switches or electronic circuits from dust and other contaminants. The cover is usually made of plastic or metal and is either snap-on or screw-on. Switch covers are often used in cars, computers, and other electronics that require protection from dust and other environmental conditions. Additionally, they may be used to indicate a status or provide warnings when an area of the equipment is not in use. Switch covers are also used to protect people from the shock of touching a live switch.
