Tantalum Capacitors

Tantalum capacitors are a type of electrolytic capacitor, which uses tantalum as the anode material for the capacitor. Tantalum capacitors provide several advantages over other types of capacitors, such as their higher capacitance-to-volume ratio, their lightweight, their low equivalent series resistance, their high stability, and the fact that they can be used at higher temperatures than aluminum capacitors. Tantalum capacitors are generally used in car electronics, communications equipment, medical equipment, and other applications that require reliable operation in high-temperature conditions.
