Microchip Laser Drivers

Laser drivers are an integral part of laser systems and are used to maximize the performance of the lasers. The laser driver provides regulated current to the laser diode, adjusting the output power of the laser and providing active control of the diode current. Additionally, laser drivers can provide voltage or current remote control, provide electrical isolation, monitor laser diode status and temperature, and monitor and protect lasers from overload and short circuiting. Laser drivers can also be used to provide multiple lasers with synchronization capabilities and to provide more efficient energy management.
