MAX17574 4.5V to 60V, 3A, High-Efficiency, Synchronous Step-Down DC-DC Converter with Internal Compensation General Description Benefits and Features The MAX17574, high-efficiency, high-voltage, synchronous Reduces External Components and Total Cost step-down DC-DC converter with integrated MOSFETs No Schottky-Synchronous Operation operates over a 4.5V to 60V input. The converter can deliv er up Internal Compensation for Any Output Voltage to 3A current. Output voltage is programmable from 0.9V All-Ceramic Capacitors, Compact Layout up to 90%V . The feedback voltage regulation accuracy IN Reduces Number of DC-DC Regulators to Stock over -40C to +125C is 0.9%. Wide 4.5V to 60V Input The MAX17574 features a peak-current-mode control Adjustable Output Voltage Range from 0.9V up to architecture. The device can be operated in the pulse- 90% of V IN width modulation (PWM), pulse-frequency modulation Delivers up to 3A Current Over Temperature (PFM), or discontinuous-conduction mode (DCM) control 100kHz to 2.2MHz Adjustable Switching Frequency schemes. A programmable soft-start feature allows users with External Synchronization to reduce input inrush current. The device also incorporates Reduces Power Dissipation an output enable/undervoltage lockout pin (EN/UVLO) Peak Efficiency > 90% that allows the user to turn on the part at the desired PFM and DCM Modes Enable Enhanced input voltage level. An open-drain RESET pin provides a Light-Load Efficiency delayed power-good signal to the system upon achieving Auxiliary Bootstrap LDO for Improved Efficiency successful regulation of the output voltage. 2.8A Shutdown Current The MAX17574 is available in a 24-pin (4mm x 5mm) Operates Reliably in Adverse Industrial Environments TQFN package.
