The 1N4004 is a general purpose, 400V, 1A, 1.1V @ 1A, DO-41, RoHS compliant diode manufactured by DIOFIT. It is designed to offer protection to circuits from transient voltage spikes (e.g. from inductive loads) while providing low-power rectification to DC circuits. This device features very low forward voltage drop and reverse leakage current, allowing up to 1A of current to be diode-rectified. They are typically used in applications such as AC/DC power supplies, batteries, and motor control circuits.
