The E2V RM4200D/883 is a radiation-hardened version of the RM4200 industrial processor module. It is a high performance, rad-hard System-on-Chip (SoC) based on the PowerPC e500 Architecture. The RM4200D/883 offers an advanced road map for future upgrades and has significant growth capabilities. The processor features dual cores, with the e500 CoreHost ARM-core and the PPC core running in independent modes. Additionally, the processor offers a range of standard peripherals such as Ethernet, USB, Serial Interfaces, LVDS Video, SPI, I2C and A/D. The RM4200D/883 also includes enhanced peripheral integration, enhanced secure boot capabilities, secure JTAG, multiple FPGA options and advanced power management. The RM4200D/883 performs very well in many applications including in-flight entertainment, navigation, data or video processing, and digital signal processing.
