Enpirion Power Datasheet EN2390QI 9A PowerSoC Voltage Mode Synchronous Buck With Integrated Inductor Not Recommended for New Designs Description Features The EN2390QI is a Power System on a Chip Integrated Inductor, MOSFETS, Controller 2 (PowerSoC) DC-DC converter. It integrates MOSFET Total Solution Size Estimate: 235mm switches, small-signal control circuits, compensation Wide Input Voltage Range: 4.5V 14V and an integrated inductor in an advanced 1% Initial Output Voltage Accuracy 11x10x3mm QFN module. It offers high efficiency, Master/Slave Configuration for Parallel Operation excellent line and load regulation over temperature. The EN2390QI operates over a wide input voltage o Up to 4 Devices with 29A capability range and is specifically designed to meet the precise Frequency Synchronization (External Clock) voltage and fast transient requirements of high- Output Enable Pin and Power OK Signal performance products. The EN2390QI features Programmable Soft-Start Time frequency synchronization to an external clock, power OK output voltage monitor, programmable soft-start Under Voltage Lockout Protection (UVLO) along with thermal and short circuit protection. The Short Circuit Protection devices advanced circuit design, ultra high switching Thermal Shutdown Protection frequency and proprietary integrated inductor o RoHS Compliant, MSL Level 3, 260 C Reflow technology delivers high-quality, ultra compact, non- isolated DC-DC conversion. Applications The Altera Enpirion solution significantly helps in Space Constrained Applications system design and productivity by offering greatly Distributed Power Architectures simplified board design, layout and manufacturing requirements. In addition, overall system level Output Voltage Ripple Sensitive Applications reliability is improved given the small number of Beat Frequency Sensitive Applications components required with the Altera Enpirion Servers, Embedded Computing Systems, solution.
