The GeneSiC Semiconductor GC08MPS12-220 is a TO-220-2 packaged Silicon Carbide (SiC) Merged PiN Schottky (MPS) Diode with 1200V of nominal blocking voltage and 8A of peak forward current. This component uses Schottky diodes and rectifiers to stop current from flowing in the reverse direction while allowing it to pass in the forward direction when activated. This component acts as an alternator protection diode and is ideal for applications at high temperature, such as automotive or industrial.
