Additional Infomation About Product

The PCF8574AP is an I/O Expander DIP-16 RoHS manufactured by HGSEMI. It is a simple chip that allows one or more microcontrollers to interface with external devices and microcontroller based systems. It has eight data lines (D0 - D7 which can be individually programmed as inputs or outputs, allowing bidirectional data transfer. It also contains two addresses pins (A0 & A1) which allow the chip to be addressed on the same I2C bus. The chip also contains an interrupt pin which is used to alert the TI/O expander when one of the data pins has made a change. The chip is powered by the 2.5V – 5.5V range on its Vcc pin and has an operating temperature range from 0 to 70 degrees Celsius. The PCF8574AP has been certified to UL & CSA standards and comes in a standard 16pin DIP configuration.
