The SP3085EIM/TR is a SoP-8 RoHS-compliant, RS-485/RS-422 application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) designed and manufactured by HGSEMI. It is an integrated serial port controller with a built-in protocol engine and transceiver, which provides full-duplex, 16 byte, half-duplex, and multi-master communication at rates of up to 460Kbps. The device supports both 7 and 10-bit addressing, programmable frame formats and baud rates, and includes integrated error-correction code (ECC) on both the receiver and transmitter. It is suitable for use in a variety of industrial and commercial applications, including motor control, fax/modem, instrumentation, data logging, and automation.
