The HT68F001 is a serial/parallel interface IC with lead-free RoHS SOP-8-150mil package manufactured by Holtek. This device integrates a serial-to-parallel converter and parallel-to-serial converter, and provides a bi-directional, full-duplex data transmission interface for peripherals. It supports up to 115.2 kbits/s communication speeds and can be used for applications such as touch panels, keyboards, pointing devices, and display devices. The HT68F001 includes a data receive buffer with automatic flow control, a 68HC000 compatible CPU, an 8KB ROM containing both user programmable routines and library routines, two independent 256 byte RAMs, an integrated I2C chip for communication with external E2PROMs, and three I/O ports. This device also provides a power saving stop mode and an internal watchdog.
