OSThe CM1003-BMD-DFN(1.9x1.6) Battery Management IC is a RoHS-compliant, state-of-the-art integrated circuit that enables automatic and accurate management of batteries used in various medium-to-high capacity applications. This IC is manufactured by iCMOS and designed to maintain accurate measure of remaining capacity, protect the battery from over-discharge, over-current, over-temperature and short-circuit events common in lead acid, lithium-ion and nickel-cadmium battery packs. It is adaptable enough to work with various battery chemistry and can be easily configured to suit a variety of specific applications. This IC is perfect for portable power systems and has built-in features such as adjustable charge and discharge current limit, over-temperature and short-circuit protection, low standby current, and low voltage and over-voltage protection. It is also capable of powering multiple batteries in parallel and provides charge status update-able via a single GPIO port. Its robust performance and flexibility make it the perfect choice for use in modern power management applications.
