CPC1998J AC Power Switch INTEGRATED CIRCUITS DIVISION Characteristics Description CPC1998J is an AC Solid State Switch utilizing dual Parameter Rating Units power SCR outputs. This device also includes V AC Operating Voltage 20-240 rms zero-cross turn-on circuitry and is specified with an 800V blocking voltage. The optically coupled input and output circuits provide exceptional noise immunity V Blocking Voltage 800 P and 2500V of isolation between the control and the rms Thermal Impedance, 0.35 C/W output. As a result, the CPC1998J is well suited for Junction-to-Case, JC industrial environments where electromagnetic interference would disrupt the operation of plant facility Features communications and control systems. Load Current up to 20A with 5C/W Heat Sink rms The unique i4-PAC package pioneered by IXYS allows 800V Blocking Voltage P Solid State Relays to achieve the highest load current 5mA Control Current and power ratings. This package features a unique Zero-Cross Switching IXYS process in which the silicon chips are soft Isolated, Low Thermal Impedance Ceramic Pad for soldered onto the Direct Copper Bond (DCB) Heat Sink Applications substrate instead of the traditional copper leadframe. 2500V Isolation, Input to Output rms The DCB ceramic, the same substrate used in high DC Control, AC Output power modules, not only provides 2500V isolation rms Optically Isolated but also very low junction-to-case thermal impedance Low EMI and RFI Generation (0.35 C/W).
