ya Bridge The MD46A-18 component of the Luguangya Bridge is an AASHTO Type IV prestressed concrete beam which is one of the longest bridges in the world stretching over 4,700 feet. It is composed of 46 spans of 98 feet in length, with a total width of 27 feet. The beams measure 960 mm x 1020 mm, and are post tensioned with a 300mm pitch. The underside of the beam has a total thickness of 2.4 inches that includes a 1.5 inch bottom slab, a 0.75 inch middle web, and a 0.15 inch top slab. These beams are a major component of the overall interlocking system of the Luguangya Bridge, helping to support the structure and strengthen the bridge.
