MIC4102 100V Half-Bridge MOSFET Driver with Anti-Shoot-Through Protection Features General Description Drives High- and Low-Side N-Channel MOSFETs The MIC4102 is a high frequency, 100V half-bridge with Single Input MOSFET driver IC featuring internal anti-shoot-through protection. The low-side and high-side gate drivers are Adaptive Anti-Shoot-Through Protection controlled by a single input signal to the PWM pin. The Low-Side Drive Disable Pin MIC4102 implements adaptive anti-shoot-through Bootstrap Supply Voltage to 118V DC circuitry to optimize the switching transitions for Supply Voltage up to 16V maximum efficiency. The single input control also TTL Input Thresholds reduces system complexity and greatly simplifies the overall design. On-Chip Bootstrap Diode Fast 30 ns Propagation Times The MIC4102 also features a low-side drive disable pin. This gives the MIC4102 the capability to operate in Drives 1000 pF Load with 10 ns Rise and Fall Times a non-synchronous buck mode. This feature allows the MIC4102 to start up into applications where a bias Low Power Consumption voltage may already be present without pulling the Supply Undervoltage Protection output voltage down. 2.5 Pull-Up, 1.5 Pull-Down Output Resistance Undervoltage protection on both the low-side and Space Saving SOIC-8L Package high-side supplies forces the outputs low. An on-chip 40C to +125C Junction Temperature Range bootstrap diode eliminates the discrete diode required with other driver ICs. Applications The MIC4102 is available in the SOIC-8L package with High Voltage Buck Converters a junction operating range from 40C to +125C.
