The SST26WF040B-104I/MF is a 4 Megabit (512K x 8) Serial Flash Memory chip manufactured by Microchip. The chip has a wide operating voltage range of 1.65–3.6V and an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It is well suited for soft encryption features due to its inherent capability to erase and re-program individual blocks of 512 bytes. Generic commandments are set up by the user and applied across the chip and/or individual blocks so data can be encrypted/decrypted automatically. The chip also features a low write latency of 0.3 ms/word, a Manufacture and Device Identification Read, Enhanced Security ID, and 10,000,000 Write/Erase cycles.
