MP1591 2A, 32V, 330KHz Step-Down Converter The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP1591 is a high voltage step-down Wide 6.5V to 32V Input Operating Range converter ideal for automotive power adapter 34V Absolute Maximum Input battery chargers. Its wide 6.5V to 32V input 2A Output Current voltage range covers the automotive batterys 120m Internal Power MOSFET Switch requirements and it achieves 2A continuous Stable with Low ESR Output Ceramic output for quick charge capability. Capacitors Up to 95% Efficiency Current mode operation provides fast transient 20 A Shutdown Mode response and eases loop stabilization. Fault protection includes cycle-by-cycle current Fixed 330KHz Frequency limiting and thermal shutdown. In shutdown Thermal Shutdown mode, the converter draws only 20 A of supply Cycle-by-Cycle Over Current Protection current. Output Adjustable From 1.23V to 21V Under Voltage Lockout The MP1591 requires a minimum number of Reference Voltage Output readily available external components to Available in 8-Pin SOIC Packages complete a 2A step-down DC to DC converter solution.
