MP3212 1.3A, 1MHz Step-up Regulator with Integrated Input Disconnect Switch DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP3212 is a high efficiency, fixed frequency, Up to 88% Efficiency current-mode boost converter with input 2.3V to 5.5V Input Voltage disconnect, inrush current limiting, internal soft- Up to 28V Output start and compensation. 1 MHz Fixed Switching Frequency The 1MHz switching frequency allows for smaller Integrated Power MOSFET external components producing a compact Integrated Input Disconnect Switch solution for a wide range of load currents. The Zero Current Shutdown Mode input disconnect feature provides complete Internal Soft-Start isolation from output to input when the device is in Internal Compensation either shutdown mode or fault condition. The Automatic Pulse Frequency Modulation internal compensation minimizes the external Mode at Light Load component count and soft-start limits the Inrush Current Limiting current during startup. The MP3212 1.3A Typical Switch Current Limit automatically transitions into pulse-frequency Under voltage lockout modulation mode to achieve better efficiency at Over Voltage Protection light load. The input voltage range of 2.3V to Thermal Shutdown 5.5V can generate 28V at up to 100mA. 10-Pin QFN (3x3mm) Package The MP3212 includes under-voltage lockout, APPLICATIONS current limit, over voltage protection and thermal shutdown. In addition to cycle by cycle Low Noise Power Supply current limit at power switch, the average Wimax RF Amp Power Supply current is also monitored at disconnect switch GPRS/GSM RF Amp Power Supply to prevent damage in the event of output All MPS parts are lead-free and adhere to the RoHS directive.
