MP3430 90V Step-Up Converter with APD Current Monitor The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP3430 is a monolithic step-up converter 2.7V-to-5.5V Input Voltage that integrates a power switch and a biased 100V/1 NFET with 0.9A Limit avalanche photodiode (APD) current monitor. Up to 90V Output Voltage The device can double the output voltage 50ns APD Current Monitoring Response through the APD optical receivers. The MP3430 Speed can provide up to 90V output. 1.3MHz Fixed Switching Frequency The MP3430 uses a current-mode, fixed- Internal Compensation and Soft-Start frequency architecture to regulate the output High-Side APD Current Monitor with less voltage, which provides a fast transient than 5% Tolerance. response and cycle-by-cycle current limiting. 1:10 and 1:2 Ratio Outputs for APD Current The MP3430 features two accurate APD Monitoring current monitoring outputs with 1:10 and 1:2 Thermal-Shutdown Protection ratios, respectively. Resistor-adjustable current Programmable APD Over-Current Limit and limiting protects the APD from optical power Protection transients. 33mm QFN16 Package The MP3430 includes over-current and thermal- APPLICATIONS overload protection to prevent damage in the APD Biasing event of an output overload.
