MP4420 High Efficiency 2A, 36V, Synchronous Step Down Converter The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP4420 is a high-frequency, synchronous, Wide 4V to 30V Continuous Operating Input rectified, step-down, switch-mode converter Range with built-in power MOSFETs. It offers a very 36V Input Transient Tolerance for compact solution to achieve a 2A continuous Automotive Load Dump output current with excellent load and line 90m /55m Low R Internal Power DS(ON) regulation over a wide input supply range. The MOSFETs MP4420 has synchronous mode operation for High-Efficiency Synchronous Mode higher efficiency over the output current load Operation range. Default 410kHz Switching Frequency Synchronizes to a 200kHz to 2.2MHz Current-mode operation provides fast transient External Clock response and eases loop stabilization. High Duty Cycle for Automotive Cold-crank Full protection features include over-current Power-Save Mode protection and thermal shut down. Internal Soft-Start The MP4420 requires a minimal number of Power Good readily-available standard external components, OCP Protection and Hiccup and is available in a space-saving 8-pin Thermal Shutdown TSOT23 package.
