The R5478N218CD-TR-FF is an 1-Cell Li-ion Battery Protection IC manufactured by Nisshinbo. It is a single Li-ion/Li-poly cell protection integrated circuit with overcharge/overdischarge protection, cell balancing, and integrated charge pump. It has an operating voltage range of 2.7 to 4.2V and an adjustable overcharge/overdischarge voltage range. The integrated cell balancing circuit helps to ensure uniform cell voltage and equalize charge storage. The integrated charge pump provides higher efficiency providing up to 10% power savings. The device is designed to be used with various Battery Management System (BMS) solutions such as Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and AIoT applications.
