The Richardson RISC 806960S is a single-chip, 32-bit RISC microprocessor designed for embedded system applications. The 806960S is based on ARM’s ARM9TDMI microprocessor core, running at up to 200MHz, and is designed for applications where low power and low cost are important considerations. It supports up to 32KB of integrated instruction and data caches and offers a rich array of on-chip peripherals, including an enhanced two-channel Direct Memory Access controller and USB On-the-Go. Additionally, the 806960S features a 32-bit wide peripheral bus that supports up to five external memory devices, allowing designers to optimize memory resources and avoid externally mounted memory components.
