Ultrasonic Sensor The FR 18-2 I-PS-L4 is a part of the Sensopart Ultrasonic Sensor range. It is a 18 mm range, 2-wire DC with power supply and light ring, flush face ultrasonic sensor. This sensor is designed to be used for reliable near- and mid-range non-contact distance measurement, making it ideal for a variety of applications including Level Control, Diameter or Position Measurement. It operates by emitting high frequency sound waves and measuring the time it takes for the signal to reflect back to the sensor. This sensor has a sensing range from 2 cm to 500 cm, a 0.3 mm resolution and 10 Hz switching frequency. The FR 18-2 I-PS-L4 includes an adjustable sensitivity setting, allowing users to customize the operating range to suit the requirements of the application. The device comes encased in IP67 and IP69K rated housing, making it suitable for outdoor and washdown applications.
