The SP5710 Switching Controller IC from Si-Power is a monolithic buck controller IC in a SOT-23-6 RoHS Package. This device is designed to provide high performance, low cost switching regulator solutions for a variety of power conversion applications, like DC-DC converters, on-board chargers and POL regulators. It has a wide operating input voltage range from 4.5V to 18V which makes it suitable for many different applications. It features a maximum output current of 1.5A, a low operating current of just 350µA and adjustable switching frequency up to 1MHz. It also includes an internal step-down driver and internal compensation for fast transient response and high-level protection features such as Over temperature protection, open loop protection, short circuit protection, over current protection, over voltage protection and soft start. The device is also RoHS compliant with a low profile, making it ideal for many low profile applications.
