The SI8238BB-C-IS1 Gate Drivers 2.5kV 4A Dual Isolated Driver ("ISOdriver") manufactured by Silicon Labs is an electronic part designed to rapidly switch, isolate, and drive power MOSFETs and IGBTs. It offers very high input-to-output voltage isolation, up to 2.5 kV, making it a great fit in industrial and communications applications, such as motor-speed control and HVAC equipment. Features of this part include 4A sourced/sinked outputs, under-voltage lockout (8V), zero-cross turn-on, deadtime and slew rate control, and temperature protection. It is offered in an 8-contact SOIC and an 8-contact DIP, allowing for various package and form factors. This part is available for purchase in mid-September.
