The SI8462AB-A-IS1 is a digital isolator manufactured by Silicon Labs, with 4 forward and 2 reverse 6-channel blocking layers. The device is designed for bidirectional data transmission and power supply isolation between data and power elements in high-voltage, high-frequency circuits. It is capable of providing up to 2.5 kV of isolation between two input and output channels and less than 5 ps of propagation delay. It is also a low power device, consuming only 5.5 mW in its 3.3 V supply mode. The device features an integrated ESD protection, which helps ensure reliable operation in difficult environment. It also features a 32-kHz oscillator built-in for communication timing and a low start-up time for quick data transfer. The package for this device is an 8-pin DIP.
