The L6562ATDTR is a Power Factor Correction (PFC) Transition-mode PFC controller manufactured by STMicroelectronics. This part provides simple PFC for use in AC/DC converters, high power SMPSs, computer supplies, and other AC/DC applications. It is designed with an integrated MOSFET driver which doubles the switching frequency for an improved power factor and harmonic performance. The L6562ATDTR's additional features include soft start, input surge protection, full-time cycle-by-cycle current limiting, a `leading edge blanking` with dead time control and open loop peak current. It comes in a 6-pin plastic PowerDIP package. This is an efficient, cost-effective solution for meeting PFC requirements.
