The L78L05ACZ-AP is a three-terminal positive fixed voltage regulator with an output voltage of 5V. This Linear Voltage Regulator IC (L78L05ACZ-AP) is manufactured by STMicroelectronics and is encapsulated in the popular TO-92-3 package. It has an output current of up to 100mA which is suitable for most portable and small equipment in industrial and household applications such as motors and sensors that operate from batteries or solar panels. It has overload and short-circuit protection along with thermal shutdown for improved component reliability.
