The STMicroelectronics LIS3MDLTR is a board mount Hall effect/magnetic sensor with a low-power, high performance design. It offers 3-axis sensing with a range of +/- 16 gauss for both linear and rotational measurements. The device operates over an ultra-low power range of 1.9-3.6V. This device features an integrated power-down mode, high and low-pass output filters, and an I2C/SPI serial interface for communication. The LIS3MDLTR is suitable for applications such as joystick and motion sensing, magnetic field identification and navigation, automotive and industrial guidance, and high-volume mobile phones.
