The STTH110A from STMicroelectronics is an ultra fast diode designed for use in high frequency, high power applications such as power rectifiers, motor controls and energy recovery systems. It is a soft-recovery diode that can withstand reverse voltage up to 800V and continuous forward current up to 4A. The device has a low forward voltage drop of less than 0.75V at 4A and reverse leakage current of less than 5 µA. Its low reverse recovery time of only 14ns helps reduce conversion losses and allow use of fast switching circuits. Additionally, it has excellent thermal performance and maximum junction temperature rating at 175°C. This device is available in the TO220-2 PowerFLAT package, making it ideal for use in space-constrained applications.
