The AFE4420YZR from Texas Instruments is an ultra-small Analog Front End (AFE) with a FIFO for multi-sensor Wearable Optical Heart-Rate monitoring. It comes in a 30-DSBGA package and is rated for temperatures ranging from -40 to 85°C.The AFE4420YZR features an analog-to-digital conversion rate of up to 250ksps and an on-chip Noise Reduction Filter which is capable of 16-bit digital data output. It also supports low-power features including VBAT, LSB leakage detector, Sleep and Wake-up, ultra-low-power mode, and POR. The integrated FIFO can store up to eight 10-bit samples and the device can be programed for different device operation schemes. The AFE4420YZR can be used for signal processing, data storage, and monitoring of heart rate signals.
