Additional Infomation About Product

The CD4020BE with Counter IC 14-Bit Ripple-Carry manufactured by Texas Instruments is a 14-bit CMOS synchronous up/down ripple counter. It utilizes two 4-bit full adders with synchronous up/down counter capability and two individual clocks. There is an enable feature for both the up/down capability and the overall counter. The output register is software programmable, and it allows either asynchronous or synchronous loading. The counters can be preset to any value between 0 and 16383, and can count from 0 to 16383 continuously.It has an asynchronous reset input which clears the output register to 0. Its low-power consumption capabilities make it suitable for a wide range of power management designs. It is pin and functionally compatible with the CD4013B and CD4020B devices. The power dissipation is reduced by operating the device at lower clock frequencies and the output frequency is trimmed using an external resistor. It is available in a range of package options.
