The TLP118(TPL,E(T is a high speed optocoupler manufactured by Toshiba. It is a high voltage, insulated type optocoupler with a high CMR ratio. The TLP118(TPL,E(T is a photocoupler that contains a GaAsP light-emitting diode that is optically coupled to a phototransistor. It is designed to provide electrical isolation between a low voltage controller and a high voltage output stage. The TLP118(TPL,E(T features an operating voltage of up to ±30V, an insulation voltage of up to 8kV, a rise/fall time of 3µs, and a propagation delay time of up to 10µs. It also features a variety of protection features including overvoltage protection and overcurrent protection. The TLP118(TPL,E(T is suitable for use in applications such as relay drivers and motor controllers.
