It is a low dropout voltage regulator that offers a very low quiescent current and low dropout voltage. This is suitable for battery-powered systems as it ensures higher battery life. Its current limiting and thermal shutdown functions provide protection from short circuit and overload. The device has a maximum output current of 1A and a wide adjustable output voltage range between 1.25V and 13V. It features a space-saving SOT-223, RoHS compliant package.
