The TSOP98436 is an infrared (IR) receiver module made by Vishay. It is designed to receive 38 kHz modulated signals from a standard IR remote control. It is designed to be used in remote control and infrared communication systems. It features low threshold, wide operating temperature range, high immunity to ambient light, low power consumption and small outline packages.It also features built-in AGC (Auto Gain Control), reduced blocking sensitivity and high sensitivity. It is widely used in TV remote controls, digital cameras, home appliances and industrial remote control applications.
