Additional Infomation About Product

HER154 is a gene located on the short (p) arm of human chromosome 17. It encodes a protein belonging to a family of transcription factors, which are molecules that regulate gene expression by controlling when, where, and how much of a gene's product (protein) is made. HER154 acts as a transcriptional activator, causing the expression of specific genes to increase. In particular, HER154 activates the expression of several breast cancer-related genes, suggesting that it is important for normal breast tissue function. HER154 is also thought to play a role in other forms of cancer and certain neurological conditions, such as dementias and autism spectrum disorder.
