SDO (SPI, CS IN DAISY CHAIN) 18-bit resolution with no missing codes GND CNV ADA4940-1/ ADA4941-1 INL: 1 LSB typical, 2 LSB maximum Dynamic range: 99 dB, V = 5 V REF Figure 1. SNR: 98 dB at f = 1 kHz, V = 5 V IN REF GENERAL DESCRIPTION THD: 119 dB at f = 1 kHz, V = 5 V IN REF SINAD: 97 dB at f = 1 kHz, V = 5 V The AD7982 is an 18-bit, successive approximation, analog-to- IN REF Low power dissipation digital converter (ADC) that operates from a single power supply, Single-supply 2.5 V operation with 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3 V, and VDD. The AD7982 contains a low power, high speed, 18-bit 5 V logic interface sampling ADC and a versatile serial interface port. On the CNV 4 mW at 1 MSPS (VDD only) rising edge, the AD7982 samples the voltage difference between 7 mW at 1 MSPS (total) the IN+ and IN pins. The voltages on these pins usually swing 70 W at 10 kSPS in opposite phases between 0 V and VREF. The reference voltage, Proprietary serial interface V , is applied externally and can be set independent of the REF 1 SPI-/QSPI/ MICROWIRE-/DSP-compatible supply voltage, VDD. Its power scales linearly with throughput. Ability to daisy-chain multiple ADCs and busy indicator The serial peripheral interface (SPI)-compatible serial interface 10-lead MSOP and 3 mm 3 mm 10-lead LFCSP also features the ability, using the SDI input, to daisy-chain Wide operating temperature range: 40C to +85C several ADCs on a single 3-wire bus and provides an optional busy indicator. The AD7982 is compatible with 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3 V, APPLICATIONS and 5 V logic, using the separate VIO supply. Automated test equipment Data acquisition systems The AD7982 is available in a 10-lead MSOP or a 10-lead LFCSP Medical instruments with operation specified from 40C to +85C.
