LTM4615 Triple Output, Low Voltage DC/DC Module Regulator Fea T Descrip T n Dual 4A Output Power Supply with 1.5A VLDO The LTM 4615 is a complete 4A dual output switching n Short-Circuit and Overtemperature Protection mode DC/DC power supply plus an additional 1.5A VLDO n Power Good Indicators (very low dropout) linear regulator. Included in the pack- age are the switching controllers, power FETs, inductors, Switching Regulators SectionCurrent Mode Control a 1.5A regulator and all support components. The dual 4A n Input Voltage Range: 2.375V to 5.5V DC/DC converters operate over an input voltage range of n 4A DC Typical, 5A Peak Output Current Each 2.375V to 5.5V, and the VLDO operates from a 1.14V to n 0.8V Up to 5V Output Each, Parallelable 3.5V input. The LTM4615 supports output voltages rang- n 2% Total DC Output Error ing from 0.8V to 5V for the DC/DC converters, and 0.4V n Output Voltage Tracking to 2.6V for the VLDO. The three regulator output voltages n Up to 95% Efficiency are set by a single resistor for each output. Only bulk input n Programmable Soft-Start and output capacitors are needed to complete the design. VLDO Section n The low profile package (2.82mm) enables utilization of VLDO, 1.14V to 3.5V Input Range n unused space on the bottom of PC boards for high density VLDO, 0.4V to 2.6V, 1.5A Output n point of load regulation. High switching frequency and a VLDO, 40dB Supply Rejection at f SW n current mode architecture enables a very fast transient 1% Total DC Output Error n response to line and load changes without sacrificing Small and Very Low Profile Package: stability. The device supports output voltage tracking for 15mm 15mm 2.82mm supply rail sequencing. a T Additional features include overvoltage protection, over- n current protection, thermal shutdown and programmable Telecom and Networking Equipment n soft-start. The power module is offered in a space saving Industrial Power Systems n and thermally enhanced 15mm 15mm 2.82mm LGA Low Noise Applications n package.
