The device is a unidirectional (uni-directional) low capacitance device and is able to absorb and dissipate up to 600 W of energy for a surge duration of 10x1000µs. The device also has an integrated electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection feature to further protect components from any ESD event. The diode operates effectively over a wide temperature range from -55°C to +125°C and can withstand voltage ratings up to 5V. Its very small SMB (small-outline-package) surface mount form factor allows for easy installation onto a printed circuit board.
