The PT2559B/L2 (A5) is a series of infrared receivers manufactured by Everlight. They are through-hole devices designed for mounting on printed circuit boards. The receivers are enclosed in a black plastic package that is RoHS compliant and can be used in a variety of electronic applications, including remote control, wireless communications and digital audio-visual systems. The receivers have a wide operating voltage range, providing reliable operation at both low and high voltages. They have a high sensitivity of +/- 6dBm, allowing them to detect signals from a wide range of distances. The receivers also feature an integrated power-amplifier circuit and an output level detecting circuit to ensure optimal reception.
