The TSOP98238 with Infrared Receivers RECOMMENDED ALT 782-TSMP58138 manufactured by Vishay is an infrared receiver module designed to detect and receive infrared signals. It features a sensitivity range of 38kHz with a peak spectral response at 950nm, a 25 degree viewing angle and a lead pitch of 0.1 inch. It is made of epoxy resin with PTFE, and is RoHS compliant. It has a maximum supply current of 5mA, a supply voltage range of 2.4V-5.5V and an operating temperature range of -30 to +85 degrees Celsius. The TSOP98238 is suitable for use in a variety of applications such as universal remote control and TV remote controls.
