The LP4068B5F is a Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) with a SOT23-5 RoHS package manufactured by LOWPOWER. This device contains a battery management module that is used to monitor and charge lithium-ion (Li-ion) and lithium-polymer (Li-poly) battery cells. It features configurable voltage and current limits, charger detection, and over current protection, as well as an onboard pass transistor to drive a load. It also contains an internal 3.3V regulator, which can be used to power external loads, such as a digital audio player. This device is designed to operate over a wide range of input voltages, between 4.2V and 8V. It can deliver up to 600mA of charging current to the battery cells. Additionally, it supports trickle charging and can be used to trickle charge battery cells down to 0.6V.
