The LP7800K2SPF is an integrated power management IC (PMIC) from LOWPOWER. It is an 8-pin ESOP-8 RoHS compliant package for the implementation of a battery management solution. The LP7800K2SPF integrates a boost converter, a buck converter, a buck-boost converter, a charge pump, a low-dropout (LDO) regulator, protection features and polarity reversal prevention for Li-ion batteries. It is designed for full battery power management and features adjustable current and voltage limits and protection loops. The LP7800K2SPF also includes automatic battery identification, thermistor monitoring, over-voltage protection, over-discharge detection and protection, and cell balancing. It is suitable for various applications including medical, cordless tools, home automation and digital cameras.
