MP6531A 5V - 60V, Three-Phase, Brushless, DC Motor Pre-Driver The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP6531A is a gate driver IC designed for Wide 5V to 60V Input Voltage Range three-phase, brushless, DC motor driver Bootstrap Gate Driver with Trickle-Charge applications. The MP6531A is capable of Circuit Supports 100% Duty Cycle driving three half-bridges consisting of six N- Operation channel power MOSFETs up to 60V. Low-Power Sleep Mode for Battery- Powered Applications The MP6531A uses a bootstrap capacitor to Programmable Over-Current Protection of generate a supply voltage for the high-side the External MOSFETs MOSFET driver. An internal trickle-charge Adjustable Dead-Time Control to Prevent circuit maintains a sufficient gate driver voltage Shoot-Through at 100% duty cycle. Thermal Shutdown and UVLO Protection Internal safety features include programmable Fault Indication Output over-current protection (OCP), adjustable dead- Thermally Enhanced Surface-Mounted time control, under-voltage lockout (UVLO), and Packages thermal shutdown. APPLICATIONS The MP6531A is available in 28-pin TSSOP-EP (9.7mmx6.4mm) and QFN-28 (4mmx4mm) Three-Phase, Brushless, DC Motors packages with exposed thermal pads on the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors back.
