The MUR2040CT is a TO-220 RoHS-compliant unclassified semiconductor made by Pingwei. It uses a new quadratic technology and has a maximun VDSS (drain-to-source) voltage of 200V, allowing it to handle higher peak current capacity than most other semiconductor. It has a RDS(on) of 0.274 Ohm, can handle 40A maximum peak current and has thermal resistance of 1.9°C/W. Furthermore, it has a dynamic dv/dt body diode with a peak forward current of 200A and a peak reverse recovery current of 600A. Lastly, the MUR2040CT has a gate charge of 20nC and leads that are plated with tin-lead alloy to make it suitable for soldering.
