The L79L05ACZ is an integrated circuit (IC) from STMicroelectronics. It is a 5-Pin, 1 A low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator, operating from a wide range of input voltages. It provides precise output voltage regulation down to 1.2V and is designed to deliver up to 1 A of current. It features a low quiescent current, fast transient response, programmable current limiting and short circuit protection. The output voltage is trimmed to 2.5% accuracy. The L79L05ACZ is ideally suited for battery-powered applications, and is available in 8-pin PowerSSO™ and PDIP packages.
